Marti and Tensor Join Forces to Expand Autonomous Vehicle Services Across Türkiye

Marti and Tensor Partner to Deploy Autonomous Vehicles in Türkiye

Marti Technologies, Inc. announced a multi-year strategic partnership with Tensor to accelerate the development of autonomous vehicles in Türkiye. As part of the partnership, the companies will acquire and operate Tensor autonomous vehicles on Marti’s mobility platform. The project thus becomes another major milestone for Autonomous Vehicles in Türkiye and strengthens the country’s smart mobility ecosystem. The partnership also aims to accelerate the adoption of Autonomous Vehicles in Türkiye in major urban markets.

Marti offers ride-hailing services in 20 cities in Türkiye. The cities together account for almost 80% of the country’s GDP. The company’s service network covers Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Kocaeli, Bursa, Antalya, Konya, Adana, Mersin, Gaziantep, Tekirdag, Manisa, Kayseri, Mugla, Sakarya, Samsun, Eskisehir, Denizli, Aydin and Yalova.

Once officially launched, users will be able to order Tensor autonomous vehicles directly via the Marti mobile application. This means customers will have a more sophisticated transportation option available to them on the platform they already use.

Tensor Introduces State-of-the-Art AI Mobility Technology to Türkiye

Founded in Silicon Valley in 2016, Tensor is a pioneer in personal autonomous vehicle technology. It was the first company to build a Level 4 self-driving vehicle intended specifically for personal ownership and professional fleet use.

After working on autonomous vehicles for nearly a decade, Tensor received the second-ever driverless testing permit for passenger vehicles in California. In addition, the company launched the world’s first personal Robocar in August 2025.

Tensor designed the Robocar for private ownership, but it can also be deployed in commercial fleets. Additionally, its integrated ride-sharing features allow it to seamlessly fit into autonomous mobility networks across the globe.

The vehicle architecture is a combination of a vertically integrated computing platform and an advanced sensor stack. Tensor also created proprietary sensor-cleaning technology to help maximize fleet uptime and operational efficiency. The system also supports deep OTA software updates all the way down to the firmware level. Operators can therefore build vehicles with ever-improving capabilities without much physical servicing.

Tensor is equipping its Robocar with a proprietary supercomputer with eight Thor-X NVIDIA GPUs. The platform therefore features sophisticated onboard artificial intelligence, with a safety-first design and a high level of redundancy.

“Our strategic collaboration with Marti is a bold step in our mission to democratize autonomy and bring a premium autonomous experience to Marti platform consumers,” said Dr. Jay Xiao, CEO of Tensor. “Building on our recent partnership announcements in the USA, UAE, and Europe, this partnership reaffirms our global commitment to bringing the luxury of safe, efficient, and scalable autonomous mobility to the world. Together with Marti, we are excited to deliver the cutting edge of transportation technology to platform consumers across Türkiye.”

Marti Strengthens the Future of Smart Transportation

The partnership is in line with Marti’s long-term vision to grow technology-led transportation services across Turkey, he says. The company believes it will be able to efficiently support the rollout of autonomous ride-hailing services, given its existing mobility network and strong operational capabilities.

The company now has about 7.8 million all-time unique platform consumers. It also benefits from a strong team in field operations and infrastructure already in place to enable Marti to support large-scale autonomous fleet deployment across multiple cities.

“As Türkiye’s leading urban mobility platform, Marti has consistently pioneered the introduction of new tech-enabled transportation services across the country. We are proud to build on this track record by working to introduce autonomous ride-hailing to Türkiye in partnership with Tensor,” commented Oguz Alper Oktem, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Marti. “With our extensive field operations team, established infrastructure, and approximately 7.8 million all-time unique platform consumers, Marti is well positioned to support the rapid, safe deployment of Tensor’s autonomous vehicle fleet in the years ahead.”
