The 18th annual Schools of the Future Conference convenes on Wednesday & Thursday, October 21-22, 2026, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort with pre-conferences taking place on Tuesday, October 20. The conference is open to all public, private, parochial and charter school educators, as well as to parents, students and community members, with an expected attendance of more than 1,200 conferees over the three event days.

The conference is produced annually in partnership with the Hawai’i State Department of Education, the Hawai’i Association of Independent Schools, the Hawai’i Community Foundation and the Hawai’i Society for Technology in Education. It explores a wide-range of topics and ideas related to best and emerging practices in education. The annual conference is the largest event of its nature in Hawai’i and serves as an opportunity for teachers and administrators to reflect upon how to better serve students.
