Pipedrive MCP Connector Expands Access Through Claude Marketplace

Pipedrive MCP

Pipedrive MCP Connector is now available through Claude’s official connector marketplace. The update gives sales teams a simpler way to connect Pipedrive with Claude. Users can complete the connection in only a few clicks. Pipedrivethe easy and intelligent CRM for small and medium-sized businesses, announced the update. Its Model Context Protocol (MCP) Connector now appears directly in Claude’s official connector marketplace.

Previously, customers needed to configure an MCP server URL manually. Now, they can find Pipedrive directly within Claude and connect their accounts without that step. The company also reported strong early adoption of its MCP capabilities. More than 6% of Pipedrive’s paying customer base connected to MCP within one month of general availability.

Most of those customers have continued using the connector actively. The adoption indicates growing interest in connecting CRM platforms with artificial intelligence tools.

Strong Early Adoption of Pipedrive MCP

Pipedrive reported significant customer interest after launching its MCP capabilities. Within the first month, more than 5% of its paying customer base had connected to MCP. The company later reported that figure had exceeded 6%. The vast majority of connected customers continued using the technology.

“Customers increasingly expect to work with their CRM data wherever their work happens. The strong early adoption of Pipedrive MCP, reaching more than 6% of our paying customer base in its first month, shows there is real demand for that flexibility,” said Joe Futty, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Pipedrive. “Making Pipedrive directly available in Claude gives customers a simpler way to bring their CRM into the AI tools they choose to use.”

The usage data also indicates how sales teams currently use AI with CRM systems . Around 65% of Pipedrive MCP interactions are reading CRM information. Meanwhile, 35% of them are about writing or updating CRM records. Most common actions are retrieving activities and deals. Users also add notes and update contacts via supported interactions. So, the data points to real-life applications of AI-powered CRM access in daily business. More than 93% of Pipedrive MCP usage is anthropic surfaces. The surfaces are Claude.ai and Claude Code.

AI as the Future of the CRM Interface

Early usage data from Pipedrive indicates a clear focus on everyday sales activities. Customers primarily use AI for searching, reviewing and maintaining CRM information. MCP activity today is a much smaller part of complex automation. Instead, sales professionals leverage conversational AI to retrieve information as part of their normal workflows. With the Pipedrive MCP Connector you can work with particular Pipedrive CRM data and actions. These capabilities are still subject to the permissions of each user. Sales teams can pull activities and deals supported by AI applications. They also have access to CRM records and can update contact information.

Users can also capture information about meetings and add notes. Now the connector also supports Leads. Existing leads can be accessed by compatible AI applications from Pipedrive. And also generate fresh leads directly within Pipedrive.

In addition, users can edit existing Pipedrive leads. These capabilities provide sales teams with more ways to manage CRM information through AI. Pipedrive expects to keep growing its MCP capabilities. The company will add more tools and support workflows over time, he said.

Pipedrive and Claude Integration Made Easier

The availability on the marketplace makes it easier for customers to connect Pipedrive to Claude. In the past, the user would have had to type in the MCP server URL. Pipedrive is now available in the official connector marketplace inside Claude. They can then connect their Pipedrive account without having to manually configure the server.

Existing connections have also been migrated automatically to the marketplace connector. And they still do the same thing as before. Customers with a manual connection can also switch to the marketplace connector. They just have to unplug the current rig and plug in through Claude’s marketplace.

The update does not change or move any customer data in Pipedrive. “Pipedrive is still the system of record for the customer CRM information. Then MCP gives a common method for supported AI apps to use that information. However all interactions are still subject to applicable user permissions.

What Is MCP Integration for Pipedrive?

Pipedrive MCP Connector links compatible AI apps with Pipedrive CRM data. It also supports selected actions via the Model Context Protocol. Compatible applications can perform supported actions and get information from Pipedrive. What this means is that sales professionals are able to interact with CRM data through conversational AI interfaces.

The connector is compatible with existing CRM interfaces of Pipedrive. This means customers can now introduce AI into the way they run their sales operations in Pipedrive. The technology can back some typical sales activities around CRM records. It also allows a standard means of accessing supported CRM functionality through compatible AI applications.

What is a model context protocol?

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard for connecting AI applications to external tools and data sources. The protocol provides a standardized way for compatible AI applications to access supported information. It also enables applications to perform authorized actions with connected services.

MCP allows Pipedrive customers to integrate supported applications such as Claude with the Pipedrive CRM functionality. This connection enables users to access CRM data from compatible AI tools.

So the Pipedrive MCP Connector gives sales teams another way to access CRM data. At the same time, it keeps Pipedrive as the source of truth. Furthermore, Pipedrive’s inclusion in Claude’s official connector marketplace reduces setup requirements. This enables sales teams to better link their CRM environment with AI tools.
