CADDi Introduces ITAR Support for Its AI Data Platform Serving U.S. Aerospace and Defense Manufacturers

CADDi Launches ITAR Support for Its AI Data Platform

CADDi has strengthened its ITAR compliance capabilities by launching a new AI data platform tier for U.S. manufacturers. Specifically, the new tier has been designed for aerospace and defense businesses working with regulated data.

In particular, the new CADDi Drawer tier provides strong guarantees of U.S. data residency and secure data access. Moreover, only American persons will have access to and control over such data. As a result, companies can meet regulatory standards while using advanced AI tools.

“U.S. manufacturers have always been the pioneers of aerospace innovation and space exploration. CADDi is proud to help these innovators expand their AI-enabled transformation. The team has been working hard to deliver the same impact to aerospace companies that we have already seen in our automotive and heavy industry customers,” said Chris Cope, Vice President of Engineering at CADDi.

He continues, “As a global company that the world’s largest manufacturers already trust with their most sensitive data, we needed to make sure we did this with multiple layers of control for data residency and restricting all access and management to U.S. persons. I see this as the first step, not the finish line to expand our offerings to the defense industrial base. Very excited to announce this on behalf of the team.”

Strengthening Compliance for Aerospace and Defense Sector

CADDi has also registered with the U.S. Department of State’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Thus, the company complies with ITAR standards in its work. In addition, such a step allows for a wider application within the United States’ defense industry infrastructure. The aerospace companies usually accumulate vast experience in the field of engineering over many decades. Nevertheless, all this experience is not always documented. That is why the process of working is being repeated.

Moreover, strict export regulations pose restrictions to the implementation of AI in this industry. CADDi solves this problem through the provision of all data in a validated environment. On top of that, the tool provides a secure and compliant AI process. The CADDi Drawer already complies with SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 standards. Additionally, the company implements ITAR-based controls for improved security.
