Quvia, an edge-to-cloud network platform, announced a new deployment with All Nippon Airways (ANA) today. The airline will use Quvia to get an independent, real-time view of in-flight connectivity (IFC) performance. It will also track passenger Quality of Experience (QoE). This step supports the continued evolution of ANA’s in-flight digital experience.
ANA keeps strengthening its in-flight connectivity offering. Moreover, the airline is expanding free, high-speed internet across its international fleet. The Quvia deployment will give ANA consistent insight into connectivity performance. As a result, the carrier can see how the service performs across flights, aircraft, and routes. Consequently, ANA can further enhance its onboard digital experience.
ANA Gains Greater Visibility Into the Passenger Experience
Kentaro Okada, Vice President, Customer Experience at ANA, highlighted the airline’s passenger focus. He pointed to the expansion of high-speed in-flight connectivity and the need for better visibility.
“ANA is committed to continually enhancing the experience we provide our customers, including through the expansion of high-speed in-flight connectivity,” said Kentaro Okada, Vice President, Customer Experience, ANA. “Quvia will give us greater visibility into connectivity performance and the passenger experience as we continue to strengthen our in-flight services.”
Quvia pairs real-time passenger QoE with network performance data. This combination empowers ANA to optimize the in-flight experience proactively. In addition, the airline can drive smarter connectivity decisions based on live insight.
Mike Moeller, SVP, Aviation at Quvia, explained why airlines need a consistent approach to measuring performance. He also described how ANA is preparing for what comes next.
“As IFC evolves, airlines need a consistent way to understand the passenger experience across the connected aircraft,” said Mike Moeller, SVP, Aviation, Quvia. “ANA is putting that foundation in place now, with better insight to guide decisions today and the flexibility to build on it as new technologies and digital capabilities emerge.”
Overall, the deployment shows ANA’s focus on data-led decisions. With a clear view of passenger QoE and network performance, the airline can act early. Furthermore, the new foundation leaves room for emerging technologies and digital capabilities. Thus, ANA positions its in-flight digital experience for steady growth as IFC continues to evolve.
