AAR CORP. has named Sanjay Sood as its new Senior Vice President and Chief Digital & Technology Officer. So this leadership move strengthens the company’s technology direction going forward. AAR, a leading parts, repair and software platform in the aviation aftermarket, announced the appointment effective August 31, 2026. Sood is now in charge of the entire technology organization at AAR. Specifically, he oversees enterprise systems, infrastructure and cybersecurity oversight. He will also be accountable for data analytics functions across the company. Sood will also spearhead AAR’s effort to deploy AI throughout the company’s operations. Which means that his role directly supports the company’s larger digital transformation goals. He will report to John M. Holmes, AAR chairman, president and CEO.
A History of Technology Leadership
Prior to joining AAR, Sood served as senior vice president and chief technology officer at CDW. CDW is a leading multi-brand provider of IT solutions, for example. While at the company, Sood modernized the platforms and data architecture. He also led major AI initiatives and managed technical integration of several acquisitions.
Prior to joining CDW, Sood served as a senior technology and product leader at HERE Technologies. There he led global engineering organizations. He also built the company’s emerging products, meanwhile. Prior to that, he held leadership positions at YP, formerly AT&T Interactive, AllVoices and BuzzLabs. His career thus encompasses broad experience in different technology sectors.
Sood is a PhD in Computer Science from Northwestern University. He also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Communication Studies from the same university.
