Wayflyer acquired ecommerce analytics platform Conjura to expand its automated capabilities for merchants. This corporate transaction advances Wayflyer’s existing AI product roadmap for small business customers globally. Wayflyer originally incubated within Conjura back in 2019 before becoming a standalone business.
Small businesses generate large volumes of financial data across commerce, marketing, and operations platforms. However, this corporate data usually sits fragmented, under-utilised, and disconnected from daily decision-making. Merchants struggle to extract actionable value from these isolated data silos. This visibility gap slows down commercial growth and complicates operational analysis.
Conjura built a specialized infrastructure to consolidate this fragmented information into a single view. The platform layers machine learning models on top to provide predictive insights on growth and margin performance. Recently, the team introduced a natural language interface that lets merchants query complex datasets in plain English.
AI Product Roadmap Links Ecommerce Analytics to Capital Decisions
All of Conjura’s employees will join Wayflyer following the closing of this transaction. This incoming workforce will accelerate the development of AI-enabled financial tools. The upcoming software integrations will connect data points directly to funding and growth choices.
Conjura was founded in 2018 and expanded rapidly alongside ecommerce growth during the pandemic years. The business scaled to serve more than 2,000 merchants globally. The analytics platform processes over 135 terabytes of data annually across multiple operational platforms. Early financial backing arrived from European venture capital firms, including Act Venture Capital, MiddleGame Ventures, and Tribal VC.
Aidan Corbett, CEO and Co-Founder of Wayflyer, said: “What the team at Conjura has pulled off is to pivot a successful ecommerce analytics company, and supercharge it with a natural language interface that AI enables. Personally this is a full circle moment for me, and I’m delighted to welcome the Conjura team to Wayflyer. I know the committed team will help us achieve some great things to level the playing field for small businesses globally”.
Fran Quilty, CEO and Co-Founder of Conjura, said: “We built Conjura to help businesses understand their data and act on it faster. Joining Wayflyer enables us to take that premise further and put our technology in the hands of more small business founders than ever before. I’m deeply grateful to our investors, who backed us early and gave us the space to build with conviction. Thanks also to our team, partners, and critically, the brands who trusted us with their data and growth.”
The corporate entities chose not to disclose the final financial terms of the transaction. Moving forward, the integrated development teams will build financial tools that apply these predictive insights directly to commercial funding.
