FireMon introduced NVIDIA Cumulus support in its Policy Manager, enabling unified policy management for AI-driven and high-performance data centers. The update provides end-to-end policy visibility, change automation, and compliance assurance for Cumulus Linux–based switching environments. With this launch, FireMon strengthens network security governance for enterprises running AI and HPC workloads.
NVIDIA Cumulus, integrated with NVIDIA’s accelerated computing hardware, serves as a critical networking platform for AI and high-performance computing. However, as enterprises scale AI workloads, security layers often lag behind, creating governance blind spots. FireMon’s Cumulus integration closes this gap by providing a single source of truth for network security policies across firewalls, clouds, and modern data center fabrics.
Unified Security for AI-Intensive Data Centers
FireMon customers can now discover, normalize, and analyze Cumulus policy data alongside existing estates. This streamlines risk reviews and accelerates secure policy changes in multi-vendor environments. Jody Brazil, CEO of FireMon, highlighted that policy sprawl extends beyond firewalls into fabrics, clouds, and AI layers. With NVIDIA Cumulus support, FireMon enables governance “from ground to cloud to data center,” ensuring faster remediation and continuous compliance.
The integration introduces three key capabilities. Unified visibility brings Cumulus-managed networks into Policy Manager with normalized objects for consistent analysis. Change automation applies FireMon workflows to design, simulate, and verify policy changes, reducing audit risks. Continuous compliance enables automated checks against policy baselines, generating evidence and tracking remediation timelines across platforms.
Enterprise-Grade Policy Governance Across Networks
FireMon Insights revealed that 60% of enterprise firewalls fail high-severity control checks during initial evaluations. Another 34% fail at critical levels, exposing serious governance gaps. Extending enterprise-grade policy management into open-networking fabrics helps organizations close these vulnerabilities.
The integration leverages NVIDIA Cumulus Linux interfaces, including the NVUE model and REST API, aligning with modern fabric operations. FireMon maintains its vendor-neutral approach, allowing Cumulus users to retain their operational models while gaining enterprise-grade policy assurance. Policy Manager already centralizes security across firewalls, leading cloud platforms, and adjacent services like Zscaler and Cisco ACI/NSX. With NVIDIA Cumulus support, enterprises now gain unified control over heterogeneous networks.
FireMon’s new capabilities are available in the 2025.2.6 feature update. Existing customers can activate support through the standard upgrade process. By adding NVIDIA Cumulus support, FireMon sets a new benchmark for policy management in AI-intensive and high-performance data centers.
