PagerDuty Unveils Paige SRE Agent and PD Reliability Platform, Launches PD Labs to Drive Open AI Innovation in Reliability Engineering

Paige SRE agent

PagerDuty, Inc., the global leader in AI-first incident management, today announced Paige. The Paige SRE agent is a next-generation tool built to work as a member of operations, engineering and DevOps teams. It detects, investigates and remediates issues across increasingly complex systems. Paige orchestrates incident resolution on the PD Reliability Platform, PagerDuty’s flagship product, previously known as PagerDuty Operations Cloud.

The PD Reliability Platform unifies signal intelligence, incident management and automation. It serves blended teams of agents and humans. As a result, these teams automate detection, investigation and remediation with the operational context and telemetry needed to act. Additionally, PagerDuty has established PD Labs, a new AI innovation center built in the open with design partners.

AI-Built Software Is Breaking at an Unprecedented Pace

AI now plays a major role in creating the software that powers the modern world. AI writes the code, tests it and releases it to production. Meanwhile, human review before release keeps shrinking. Furthermore, AI-powered software fails in new ways in production. Model drift, token runaway, governance violations, PII exposure and hallucinations all reduce application reliability. Adding LLM-powered features to more workloads makes the problem even worse.

Consequently, outages and service interruptions keep rising. The burden on teams that keep business-critical applications running has grown exponentially. Recent research shows that 95% of executives now call incident reduction a competitive advantage. Moreover, 77% plan to increase resilience investment over the next 12 months.

PagerDuty was built to address this challenge. The company invests more than $100 million in research and development every year. It also manages close to one billion incidents annually. Therefore, PagerDuty brings the scale and experience enterprises need to run reliably. Two-thirds of the Fortune 100 and tens of thousands of customers worldwide trust the company.

Paige, PagerDuty’s SRE Agent, Gives Teams Control and Flexibility

Paige SRE agent coordinates signal intelligence, incident management and automation for operations, engineering and DevOps teams. Teams can choose how they work with it. They can keep a human in the loop, so Paige speeds up triage while approval stays with people for remediation. Alternatively, Paige can act on its own in well-understood scenarios to detect and resolve incidents quickly. It also resolves lower-priority incidents automatically while giving human operators full visibility.

Paige stands out for its ability to learn. Every resolved incident becomes part of shared memory. In turn, this sharpens Paige’s future performance and makes each later incident easier to resolve.

The PD Reliability Platform replaces fragmented, multi-tool incident response with one integrated platform. The new PD Reliability Platform Console serves as a command center for incident commanders and team managers. It is available exclusively to PD Reliability Platform customers. The console brings incidents, on-call rotations and AI agents into a single view. It shows which agents are enabled and what they are doing. Thus, teams can track progress and act on Paige SRE agent’s recommendations without leaving the screen.

The platform is also Slack- and Microsoft Teams-native. Responders can therefore run incidents end to end inside the tools they already use. When an incident triggers, PagerDuty automatically spins up a dedicated channel and conference bridge. Responders acknowledge the incident with one click. Then they collaborate with teammates and Paige to resolve it. Once the incident closes, the platform generates a post-incident review instantly. Follow-up actions arrive pre-populated with owners and due dates, so long-term remediation does not go unresolved.

PD Labs Lets Customers Shape What PagerDuty Builds Next

Alongside Paige SRE agent and the PD Reliability Platform, PagerDuty is launching PD Labs. This new innovation center aims to stay ahead of an AI landscape that evolves faster than any traditional product roadmap. Most vendors solve today’s problems while staying blind to how tomorrow’s will break differently. In contrast, PD Labs gives organizations hands-on access to what PagerDuty’s engineers are building. Customers can try new capabilities against real problems. They also get a direct line to the people writing the code.

Leader gave their statement on this.

“A tsunami of fragile AI-generated code is now entering production and SRE teams are stretched to the max. This new code breaks differently and more often and practitioners find it increasingly difficult to determine the root cause when a problem does arise. The only way to maintain resilience in the face of this complexity is to fight fire with fire, using AI itself as part of how we keep systems running. The PagerDuty SRE Agent, Paige, was built for exactly this world.”
– John DiLullo, CEO of PagerDuty

“AI is changing how software is built and how it breaks, and our Fall 2026 innovations, shaped directly by our customers, are designed for what’s next. With AI-assisted detection, triage and incident resolution, our new solutions give customers an agentic AI partner in critical moments, guiding them through every incident, turning learnings into strategic insights, and driving continuous improvement.”
– David Williams, SVP of Product at PagerDuty

“Since 2019, AHEAD and PagerDuty have helped customers connect signals, incident response, and ITSM workflows to improve how operations teams respond and learn. The PD Reliability Platform and Paige build on that foundation by bringing AI-native assistance into the platform where teams already manage critical work. For our joint customers, that means a clearer path to reducing operational friction, accelerating response, and shifting more attention toward prevention and resilience.”
– Ryan Crosby, VP, Intelligent Operations Sales, AHEAD

“As AI agents take on more of the operational workload, the tools people use to coordinate around them matter more. Slack is where incident response already happens for thousands of joint PagerDuty and Slack customers. Bringing Paige and the PD Reliability Platform to Slack means responders have speed and visibility, which is critical as agentic and human teams operate side-by-side in the same channel.”
– Steve Miller, Director of Business Development, Slack

“PD Reliability Platform gives us the building blocks to optimize incident management across the company. We integrated it into our centralized internal tool, and PagerDuty’s Scribe Agent runs through every incident, feeding situational awareness back into the platform. Our responders don’t have to stop and document what is happening, and our teams get context immediately, right where they collaborate. That’s how PagerDuty is helping us drive reliability across the incident lifecycle.”
– Kulvir Gahunia, Director, Site Reliability Office, TELUS

“IT teams are looking for value from their AI agent investments, including measurable outcomes such as improved uptime, lower cost of operations, and time returned to responders who would otherwise be chasing logs and assembling the right people for an incident. Increasingly, organizations also aim to prevent incidents, as well as quickly recover and learn from the ones that do occur.”
– Snow Tempest, Research Manager, IT Service Management, IDC
