Xcel Energy Appoints Rob Cain as Senior VP and Chief Technology Officer

Rob Cain is now the senior vice president and chief technology officer at Xcel Energy. This will help the company stay ahead in technology. This smart hire will help the company update important systems and encourage digital innovation. Cain will take over as head of Xcel Energy’s Technology. Security Services from Tim Peterson, who left the company to take another job. Cain’s job will be to modernize the infrastructure and make both cyber and physical security less risky. Xcel Energy is also speeding up the use of new digital tools like AI and other cutting-edge technologies. That makes things run more smoothly and makes the customer experience better.

Cain has more than 30 years of experience in digital transformation and modernizing big systems. He was most recently a partner at McKinsey & Co. in Minneapolis. Where he led the technology practice that helped big companies like Xcel Energy improve their customer strategy and journey design. Before working at McKinsey, Cain was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers and the chief information officer at The Coca-Cola Company. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame. A master’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota. This appointment shows that Xcel Energy is still focused on using new, safe. Modern technology to make sure that energy is delivered reliably in all of its service areas.
