In response to the devastating flash floods that swept through San Antonio and nearby areas last Thursday, U-Haul® is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box® container services at 16 of its locations across the metro area.

The region was inundated with up to seven inches of rain, resulting in severe flash flooding that rendered roads impassable, washed away vehicles, and tragically claimed multiple lives. Many residents are now facing the aftermath, with possible water damage to homes and personal property.

To support the community during the clean-up and recovery phase, U-Haul is extending its disaster relief program to those impacted. The initiative includes free access to secure self-storage units and portable U-Box containers for one month. These services are available to new customers at participating locations while supplies last.

The U-Box offer includes flexible storage options—either on-site at U-Haul facilities or with complimentary delivery and pick-up to affected homes, where available.

Residents in need of storage assistance are encouraged to contact the nearest U-Haul location or visit one of the following regional offices:

  • U-Haul Co. of San Antonio East (7 locations)
    Serving: New Braunfels, San Antonio
    Phone: (210) 731-2805
  • U-Haul Co. of San Antonio West (9 locations)

As a dedicated American Red Cross Disaster Responder, U-Haul continues to play a vital role in helping communities recover during times of crisis.
