Strategic Storage Trust VI, Inc. (SST VI), a publicly registered non-traded REIT sponsored by an affiliate of SmartStop Self Storage REIT, Inc. (NYSE: SMA), has opened its newest self-storage facility in partnership with SmartCentres (TSX: SRU.UN). Located at 1480 Jane Street, the newly launched site marks SST VI’s 14th facility in Canada and its 12th in the Greater Toronto Area.

The six-story, climate-controlled building spans approximately 105,000 net rentable square feet and offers more than 1,200 storage units. Positioned on a 2.67-acre lot, the facility benefits from prime visibility along Jane Street, which sees over 40,000 vehicles daily. The property is equipped with two elevators and is located just south of a newly opened FreshCo store, nestled in the heart of the Mount Dennis, Brookhaven, and Weston communities.

This strategic addition aims to meet the increasing demand for storage in a high-density area. Within a three-mile radius, urban growth is driving the need for accessible storage solutions, with over 2,000 new residential units planned within a five-mile range.

The facility is set to serve nearby neighborhoods including Maple Leaf, Rockcliffe–Smythe, Richview, Brookhaven–Amesbury, Beechborough–Greenbrook, Glen Park, York, and Humber Heights–Westmount.
