Smartsheet Unveils Smart Assist and Adds ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Google Cloud Gemini Enterprise Connections

Smartsheet Adds ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and Google Cloud Gemini Enterprise Connections for its MCP Server

Smartsheet expanded its platform ecosystem by adding new artificial intelligence integrations. Enterprise teams can now link Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and Google Cloud Gemini Enterprise to the Smartsheet MCP Server. These platforms join existing support for Anthropic’s Claude. Additionally, the company introduced Smart Assist to give power users native corporate intelligence.

The system uses 20 years of operational data. This background helps connections understand corporate workflows. Instead of returning generic summaries, connected tools deliver actionable information. Users can ask questions and track tasks without leaving the platform.

Pratima Arora serves as the chief product and technology officer at Smartsheet.

“The problem most teams run into isn’t access to AI. It’s that their AI has no idea how their organization actually works. Today’s assistants make one person faster inside one system. But enterprises don’t deliver that way, the build, the launch, the transformation run across teams and systems all at once. That context lives in Smartsheet because that’s where the work happens. When every major AI assistant connects to it, teams stop chasing information and start making decisions.”

Rapid Enterprise Platform Growth

The original Claude integration launched in March. Since then, the server has gained over 22,000 unique users. These users completed 3 million AI actions. Weekly active users climbed from under 1,000 to over 9,000. Furthermore, weekly tool call volume jumped from 42,000 to more than 700,000.

The system set consecutive usage records on June 9 and June 10. Nearly one in three actions modifies live work. Also, close to 3,000 new organizations joined the server in the last 30 days.

Matthew Feagin works as the regional operations leader at DPR Construction.

“We specialize in complex, technical construction projects, from building large-scale data centers to state-of-the-art healthcare facilities. There are thousands of people involved in these projects, and Smartsheet is the backbone for managing all of the most dynamic parts of the process. Now with the Smartsheet MCP Server, our teams can securely connect to their preferred AI tools to quickly build workflows, test ideas, and get answers using natural language, all in a fraction of the time. That means our frontline workers can easily create Smartsheet solutions tailored to their unique challenges, helping them solve problems faster and reduce errors.”

The business also released Smart Columns and an AI Dashboard Builder. Alongside these, developers can access free CLI Agent Power Tools. Smart Assist and the Gemini connections are available globally today. US customers can also access the Copilot and ChatGPT tools immediately.
