BAE Systems Names Mona Bates as Chief Digital Officer

BAE Systems, Inc. has appointed a new chief digital officer, who will be Mona Bates. In her new role, Bates will join the executive team and will be answerable to President and CEO, Tom Arseneault. She will oversee IT functions and lead digital and technology strategies to drive growth for the organization. She will assume office on February 23, 2026.

Extensive Industry Experience Strengthens Digital Strategy

Having worked in IT and managed businesses for more than two decades. Bates spent 15 years with RTX, previously Raytheon Technologies. She came most recently from Collins Aerospace, where she was Chief Digital Officer. Her vast experience covers industry and government sectors alike; thus is well-placed to lead BAE Systems’ technology efforts. Bates obtained a bachelor’s degree in computer networking at Regis University and an MBA in information technology management from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Her appointment underlines the commitment of BAE Systems to digital innovation and further operational efficiency.
