Molex Advances AI Success and Global Supply Chain Transformation Through Celonis Process Intelligence

Molex Accelerates Global Supply Chain Transformation

Molex, a global electronics leader, has announced a successful collaboration with Celonis to transform its supply chain. The company is utilizing the Celonis Process Intelligence platform to create a digital twin of its business processes. This initiative provides the necessary context to make enterprise AI reliable and scalable. Currently, Molex manages approximately 70,000 parts from thousands of suppliers each year.

“Process Intelligence is the heart of our digital transformation and the engine behind our AI journey. Before Celonis, we were looking at data in silos, which made it hard to understand why things were slowing down,” said MJ Patil, Director of Process Excellence at Molex. “Now, it’s like we’ve switched on a light in a dark room. This rich set of data we are building within the Celonis Process Intelligence layer will help us speed up our AI journey by giving the technology the context it needs to make smart decisions.”

Improving Global Operational Intelligence

By using Celonis Process Intelligence, Molex has seen a major boost in Purchase Order confirmation rates. These rates climbed from 30% to 90% after the team standardized workflows and improved master data management. The platform helps Molex find the root causes of delays and fix bottlenecks across various departments. This visibility ensures that AI tools work with real operational data instead of isolated bits of information.

“The noticeable reduction in time-to-insight provided a complete, real-time visualization of the true operational reality across the enterprise. Imagine you can bring an MRI machine or an X-ray machine on top of your ERP,” said Tony Gainsford, Senior Director of Supply Chain at Molex. “Celonis allows you to scan the whole process end-to-end with one click, which is an incredibly powerful capability.”

The success of the project has led Molex to expand its use of Celonis Process Intelligence into other areas. New focus areas include order-to-cash, logistics, and other manufacturing processes. Molex uses the Process Intelligence Graph to ensure transparency across its global operations. These efforts build a rich foundation of structured data to power future AI and automation agents. Molex continues to treat its processes as a core competitive advantage for its business.
