Logitech has launched the MX Keypad, a customizable AI control hub built for developers. Consequently, this new device helps coders manage multiple AI tools from one place. The MX Keypad works across popular platforms, including GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, VS Code, and IntelliJ IDEA. Therefore, developers can execute prompt macros, refactor code, and launch commands instantly.
Logitech announced the AI control hub on Monday. The company designed it specifically for multi-app, multi-agent coding environments. As a result, developers gain full command over their evolving workflows. Unlike other solutions currently available, the MX Keypad offers cross-app compatibility with major coding platforms. Additionally, it allows unlimited customization tailored to each developer’s unique workflow.
Furthermore, this level of personalization helps coders unify their AI workflows, complex prompts, and development tools. Consequently, developers experience a continuous, uninterrupted flow across their entire tech stack. The MX Keypad also includes several plugins created and tested by developers themselves, specifically for GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
“Today, coding mastery depends on how easily developers can juggle between an ever-increasing range of AI tools,” said Anatoliy Polyanker, VP and GM at Logitech. “MX Keypad puts a physical control center at your fingertips, allowing you to orchestrate your AI workflows faster and more intuitively.”
Microsoft GitHub Partnership Strengthens Integration
Logitech developed the MX Keypad in close collaboration with GitHub. Therefore, the device launches with native integration for GitHub, including VS Code and the GitHub Copilot app. Moreover, Logitech plans to expand functionality across additional tools over time. Every MX Keypad purchase includes three free months of GitHub Copilot Pro+, redeemable through Logi Options+ for new and existing users alike.
“Great developer tools get out of your way,” said Martin Woodward, VP of Developer Relations at GitHub. “MX Keypad makes working with GitHub Copilot feel like a natural part of the workflow, so developers can spend less time navigating tools and more time building.”
Built for Complete Personalization and Sustainability
The Logi Actions SDK enables software engineers to build custom tools quickly. Since the documentation is AI-friendly, coding agents can generate custom integrations directly from the SDK. Thus, complex tasks become simple afternoon projects. Meanwhile, the developer community has already published plugins for Claude Code and OpenAI Codex to the Logi Marketplace. These plugins offer real-time agent status tracking and CLI control, reaching over 100 million compatible Logitech devices.
Additionally, Logitech designed the MX Keypad with sustainability in mind. The device features certified post-consumer recycled plastic, 64% for graphite models and 49% for pale grey models. Moreover, Logitech uses paper packaging sourced from FSC™-certified forests and other controlled sources.
