The deal is valued at approximately $4.75 billion in cash from KKR. It combines Ecolab’s water management expertise with CoolIT’s thermal technology.
The demand for cooling is rising rapidly due to artificial intelligence. Traditional air cooling often fails to support Next-Gen AI Data Centers. Liquid cooling provides a more efficient way to manage high heat. Consequently, this technology helps operators reduce their total energy consumption.
CoolIT Systems is a global leader in Direct Liquid Cooling technology. Their products sit inside the servers to remove heat at the source. This method allows for much higher rack densities. Furthermore, it supports the most powerful chips used in modern computing.
