At Intersolar Europe 2026, Dahua Technology presented their new advancements in Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) for the renewable energy industry. With the tagline “Visible AI in New Energies,” Dahua Technology showed the advantages of using AI technology to increase efficiency, reliability, and security at all stages of the energy value chain. Also, Dahua Technology provided solutions that ensure energy production, energy distribution, and consumption.
The company has developed a wide range of solutions for five main sectors of application. Those are Intelligent Security, Equipment Inspection, HSE/PPE Management, Electric Vehicle Charging, and Intelligent Control Center. Together, these solutions help operators improve asset management, strengthen workplace safety, and optimize renewable energy operations.
Dahua Expands AIoT Solutions for Renewable Energy Infrastructure
For Intelligent Security, Dahua Technology demonstrated perimeter protection solutions for photovoltaic plants and energy facilities. The solution combines thermal imaging, radar-camera linkage, triple-lens monitoring, and solar-powered wireless security. Moreover, proprietary thermal algorithms extend the detection range by up to 85%.
In a photovoltaic project in Brazil, the solution reduced more than 1,000 daily false alarms from 204 devices. As a result, operators now experience approximately one false alarm per device each week. Additionally, Dahua deployed its AI-powered perimeter protection solution in a 60 MW solar park in Romania.
Regarding Equipment Inspection, Dahua Technology offered intelligent inspection solutions for substations and energy assets spread out across geographic locations. This solution keeps track of the temperature and working condition of the equipment on a continuous basis. In doing so, any anomaly in the operation can be detected easily.
For improving safety within the organization, Dahua Technology displayed its HSE/PPE Management solution that makes sure that workers wear the necessary protective gear before entering dangerous zones. If irregularities appear, the system immediately generates real-time alerts. Therefore, energy facilities can improve safety compliance and reduce workplace risks.
The company also introduced its latest electric vehicle charging solutions. The portfolio comprises AC charging stations for home settings and DC fast charging stations for business purposes. In addition, there is a cloud management system and app to track, schedule, and manage the charging activities.
Intelligent Control Center Enhances Energy Operations
Also, Dahua Technology presented its Intelligent Control Center powered by the DSS Professional platform. It offers a centralized solution that brings together security management, equipment checking, and operations control. Moreover, it provides remote video surveillance, alarm management, scheduling for inspections, and analytics of historical data.
In Italy, Dahua applied its thermal perimeter protection system along with the DSS Professional platform to monitor and control remotely solar farms in a centralized manner. After a successful implementation, the solution was rolled out to 80 solar farms which were fitted with almost 1,600 thermal cameras.
All of these innovations represent the approach of Dahua Technology towards the promotion of renewable energy through intelligent AIoT technology and full lifecycle protection. In the future, the company will further cooperate with its partners from around the world in order to invent new AI solutions for energy sector.
