Aker Solutions, a Norway-based energy company, has re-signed its strategic collaboration with Cognizant (Nasdaq: CTSH) in a new multi-year agreement aimed at speeding up IT transformation using an AI-first model.
Since 2016, the partnership between the two firms has taken a dramatic turn. The latest expansion brings a transformation roadmap on the back of the Cognizant Neuro® platform that facilitates secure, scalable, and responsible adoption of generative AI technologies. The aim is to modernize Aker Solutions’ IT services and infrastructure to handle the dynamic nature of the energy industry.
Cognizant will enhance Aker’s cloud services, application management, IT infrastructure, networks, and security, maintaining minimal disruption while enhancing agility and performance. A scalable, usage-based commercial model will also boost operational efficiency, enabling Aker Solutions to quickly adapt to changing market trends.
Signy Vefring, EVP for Strategy and Technology at Aker Solutions, stated that this agreement aligns with the company’s digital vision to maximize value and cut costs throughout project life cycles.
