Auvik, an award-winning AI-driven IT management platform provider, announced a major release today. The company made the Auvik Automation Framework and the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) Monitoring Agent generally available. Together, these enhancements expand Auvik’s automation and asset intelligence offerings and move Autonomous IT forward. They also enable automated action across network devices and surface new vulnerability insights.
Auvik builds its agents on three tenets. First, they show IT teams what is happening on the network. Next, they tell teams what needs attention. Now, they increasingly help teams act on it through guided remediation and automation. Auvik’s AI agents include the Troubleshooting Agent, Remote Terminal Agent, and Alert Insights Agent. The new CVE Monitoring Agent joins them. As a result, teams stay ahead of issues and move from insight to resolution with greater speed and confidence. Meanwhile, the Automation Framework takes that vision further. It enables automated action at scale, with people in control throughout.
“Autonomous IT isn’t something off in the distance. It’s something we have built pervasively into the platform,” said Doug Murray, CEO of Auvik. “Our mission has always been to simplify the day in the life of IT teams so that they can spend less time on routine work. This points toward a future where networks can optimize and heal themselves, freeing IT teams to focus on the challenges that matter most.”
AI-Powered Troubleshooting and Vulnerability Monitoring
Auvik AI already helps technicians investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve problems faster. It draws on 15 years of network intelligence. That includes 3.5 billion CLI commands, 350 million device configurations, and 12 million distinct devices.
The Alert Insights Agent helps teams spend less time triaging alerts. It identifies patterns in alert history and recommends settings. Those settings can reduce recurring alert noise by up to 80%. Likewise, the Troubleshooting Agent works directly from an alert. It analyzes multiple data sources, including alert and configuration history, network topology, and syslog data. Then it surfaces a likely root cause. It also provides a confidence score and recommends device-specific diagnostic commands for further investigation. Consequently, teams find answers sooner and face fewer escalations.
IT teams can work with network devices through the Remote Terminal Agent. They can also manage servers and workstations through the Remote Command Agent. In both cases, they describe what they need in natural language. Auvik then delivers commands tailored to each device and helps teams make sense of the results. Therefore, technicians get straight to the task at hand. They no longer need to sort through vendor documentation.
The new CVE Monitoring Agent adds a critical line of defense as AI accelerates the discovery of vulnerabilities. CVEs identified in 2026 are on track to double the 2025 total. This underscores the challenge facing IT teams. Checking which devices are affected can require cross-referencing multiple databases. That labor-intensive process can take considerable time as security risks grow. However, the agent automates those checks. It matches published CVEs against a customer’s devices using sources such as the National Vulnerability Database and vendor advisories. Furthermore, it expands Auvik’s Asset Intelligence offering, alongside Device Lifecycle Monitoring launched earlier this year.
Scaling Automated Action Across the Network
The Auvik Automation Framework lets IT teams create and execute automated jobs across groups of network devices. As a result, teams no longer need to make configuration changes individually. They define the commands to execute and select the devices involved. They can then run jobs on demand or at scheduled times. Ultimately, this brings multiple network changes together into a single operation.
The framework is central to Auvik’s long-term vision for Autonomous IT. In addition, it lays the groundwork for more advanced automation and increasingly autonomous remediation.
