Semarchy, recognized as a Leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Master Data Management, has announced the Semarchy Data Products workload for Microsoft Fabric. The company revealed the launch at the European Microsoft Fabric + SQL Community Conference. The workload publishes Intelligent Data Products from the Semarchy Data Platform straight into Microsoft Fabric. As a result, mastered data and semantic intelligence reach Microsoft Power BI and Fabric data agents at scale. Business analysts, business users, and data scientists also benefit.
The workload publishes certified master data into Microsoft OneLake. Each record carries business context and relationships. Consequently, Fabric agents, services, and users can work with trusted data from day one.
“For AI to be successful, context alone is no longer sufficient. Agents require meaning, instruction, and proof,” said Craig Gravina, Chief Technology Officer at Semarchy.
Semarchy will offer the workload through the Microsoft Fabric Workload Hub. It follows the Semarchy Fabric CLI, which the company announced at Microsoft FabCon EMEA in September 2025. Teams can discover mastered data and context from Semarchy Intelligent Data Products in the Workload Hub. Moreover, they can manage it alongside every other Fabric item. The Semarchy Data Platform for Microsoft Fabric will arrive on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace in October.
Why the Semantic Model Decides Fabric Agent Success
Today, Fabric users must build a semantic model for their data by hand. They must also maintain it whenever schemas change. However, teams often manage hundreds of entities and thousands of attributes. That work rarely gets finished, and the finished parts drift from the source.
This gap directly affects Fabric agents. When data lands in Fabric without business meaning, problems multiply quickly. Analysts must decode cryptic column names. Copilot then gives wrong answers to business questions. Likewise, Fabric data agents produce results that nobody trusts.
Semarchy addresses this by publishing data that already carries its meaning. Certified, trusted records arrive with richer context, reasoning, and semantics. Therefore, the data products understand how everything relates. Fabric no longer has to interpret the data. It already understands it.
“Our customers have already built a governed business context inside Semarchy. This brings that investment into Fabric automatically, and keeps it current as their data products evolve. That’s the difference between AI that infers from your data and AI that actually understands your business.”
What the Semarchy Fabric Workload Delivers
The workload offers a guided experience inside the Fabric Portal. First, it publishes certified data into Microsoft OneLake and keeps it continuously in sync. Next, it builds and enriches a Fabric semantic model from the data product’s governed business context. It also keeps that model current.
Every entity and attribute lands with a readable label and a clear description. Each one also shows its relationships to other data. This includes the semantic model that Power BI, Copilot, and Fabric Data Agents need to reason correctly. In addition, Semarchy publishes lineage and discoverability to Microsoft Purview. Governance teams can therefore trace every data product back to its source.
Power BI, Copilot, Fabric Data Agents, Data Warehouse, Data Science, and Real-Time Intelligence can use the result immediately.
Two paths lead to the same governed result. The workload joins the Semarchy Fabric CLI, which has been generally available since March 2026. Engineering teams that automate everything use the CLI. Meanwhile, data platform owners and Fabric administrators use the guided experience in the Portal. Both deliver the same governed output.
In either case, Semarchy remains the system of authority, certification, quality, and access control. Fabric serves as the consumption channel. As a result, teams have no second governance plan to manage.
Finally, Semarchy built the experience with tools that Microsoft customers already use. The design experience runs in Microsoft VS Code, versions in GitHub, deploys on Azure, and operates under Purview governance. Data engineers design data products with GitHub Copilot, grounded in their own enterprise standards. Teams design one data product once and consume it everywhere.
