Honeycomb Introduces AI Observability Suite

Honeycomb, a pioneer in observability, has launched Honeycomb Intelligence, an AI-native observability suite built for developers. The platform combines AI-powered debugging, anomaly detection, and interactive assistance directly within IDEs. With this release, Honeycomb positions itself as a leader in AI observability for developers, enhancing productivity and speeding up code delivery.

As AI reshapes software development, traditional observability tools often fall short. They struggle with latency, fragmented data, and rising operational costs. However, Honeycomb Intelligence addresses these issues by delivering sub-second query responses across billions of events. Developers gain real-time insights without workflow disruptions.

Tackling Complexity with AI Observability

Distributed architectures continue to grow more complex. Therefore, development teams need smarter tools to collaborate and resolve issues quickly. Honeycomb Intelligence introduces a collaborative assistant that improves with scale, enabling richer AI insights without added expense.

“Existing observability platforms are not ready for the AI era, where speed and scale matter most,” said Emily Nakashima, SVP of Engineering at Honeycomb. “With Honeycomb Intelligence, developers debug like experts from day one, while teams build interactive feedback loops that run 10x faster.”

Honeycomb Intelligence Product Suite

The AI observability suite includes three core products designed for engineering teams:

  • Honeycomb MCP Server: Brings observability directly into AI-assisted IDEs such as Cursor and Claude Code. Developers can detect anomalies, analyze outliers, and visualize trends without leaving their workspace.
  • Honeycomb Canvas: Provides an AI-guided workspace with natural language queries and interactive visualizations. Teams can investigate issues and share insights seamlessly through Honeycomb or Slack.
  • Honeycomb Anomaly Detection: Functions as an early warning system. It learns service behavior, reduces false positives, and alerts teams to real issues before customer impact.

Adoption and Industry Partnerships

Early adopters including Slack, HelloFresh, Duolingo, and Intercom already use Honeycomb Intelligence. They report faster debugging, improved incident response, and better system visibility.

The launch follows Honeycomb’s inclusion as an AWS Marketplace launch partner for the new AI Agents and Tools category. The company also partnered with Anthropic on its Usage and Cost API, further strengthening its position in AI observability.
