“Ed-Fi” is a freely-available set of technologies that the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation had created to help K12 solve one essential problem: Districts can’t easily access a complete, real-time view of every student.
How Is Ed-Fi Different?
Ed-Fi technologies join district data systems with a “hub-and-spoke” approach that connects all data systems to a central data hub.
Ed-Fi technologies are also “open”, which means they can be downloaded for free from the Ed-Fi website and utilized by anyone, and they are continually enhanced based on feedback from the K12 community.
